UFL Schedule for iPhone, iPad, and Mac Calendar apps

Updated March 17th, 2024.

The USFL is gone, and so is the XFL. Sort of. They’ve taken the best of the USFL, and the best of the XFL, and turned them into conferences in the new United Football League (UFL).

I’ve made an iCal-format 2024 UFL Schedule with all of the games. You can add it to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac with just a couple of clicks. Click here to get it. The calendar also works with Google calendar (see below). Includes dates, times, teams, and TV stations. Updated with scores as games are completed.

If you subscribed to the USFL calendar last year you don’t have to anything– the UFL calendar takes its place: same URL, same everything.

Opening Day for the UFL is Saturday, March 30th, 2024. FYI.

The listings for the games have little football icons in front, as shown below, so you can quickly pick out the football stuff from amongst your other appointments.

Pretty handy to have the games integrated with your regular Calendar app (in their own calendar/category of course). You don’t have to do anything to get updates– if there are any, they’ll come in automatically. See the info below about how to properly subscribe to the calendar.

Assuming the UFL plays next year, your subscription to the UFL calendar will automatically update with that season’s games as soon as I can get the info.

How to add the UFL calendar to your Google calendar

Just right-click this link and copy it, go to Google Calendar (that is, use a web browser to go to calendar.google.com), sign in if necessary, then click the plus sign to the right of “Other calendars.” Choose the option to “Add from URL.” Paste in what you copied and you’re all set.

More Info

On iPhones and iPads and Macs, if you’re asked where to import the calendar, choose “New Calendar.” You probably won’t be asked. When things go right, the calendar is automatically named “UFL” and it’s completely separate from your other calendars. When you’re asked whether you want to subscribe to the calendar, the answer is YES, you want to subscribe. That way you get updates when I change something. Also, if you subscribe you will get updates next year, and the next year, and so on. Subscribing is free, and you don’t have to give me your email address or anything like that. And of course you can unsubscribe if you want. It would be cool if you shared the calendar on your various social media platforms. That would help me out.

Here’s how it looks on the iPhone after you click the UFL Calendar link.

Step 1 of subscribing to the UFL calendar in iOS 17.4
Tap “Subscribe.”
Step 2 of subscribing to the UFL calendar on iOS 17.4
Rename it if you wish. Then tap “Add” at top right.
Step 3 of subscribing to the UFL calendar on iOS 17.4
Tap “Done” at top right and you’re all set.

Here’s how it will look after you click the UFL Calendar link on a Mac:

Click “Subscribe.”
Rename the calendar if you want. Choose a color. Set your own refresh frequency.

It would be smart to set up your calendar like this, if you can. For sure turn on the auto-refresh as information is added to the calendar as the information becomes available.

The calendar is called “UFL” and you can simply uncheck it if you don’t want to see it. You can also rename it. Subscribe once and you’re all set, for this year and the next and the next etc. I’ll keep going if the league keeps going!

Game times should be correct for your current time zone, unless you’ve done something special in your Date and Time preferences.

I’ll update the calendar with the scores of the games as they happen. You can subscribe to the calendar now and just wait for me to update things as the info becomes available. Your calendar app will always show the latest info. Enjoy. Hopefully there will be playoffs and if there are, I’ll add them to the calendar. You don’t have to do anything.

Note: I made this calendar because I couldn’t find one online. Yes, I could find a web page with the UFL schedule, but no, I couldn’t find a UFL calendar that I could view in my iPhone’s Calendar app. It’s way better to see the games listed right there with your other Calendar appointments than to be flipping back and forth between the Calendar app and a listing on a web page. I couldn’t find what I wanted elsewhere– so I made it myself.

Note 2: if you find a mistake in the calendar let me know. They happen. Also, game times sometimes get changed, and since I can’t always be watching for such things I rely on people like you to let me know. All you have to do is send an email and I’ll make the correction to the calendar. Currently, we have no time for the second conference championship. Hopefully one of you will find out when that game will be played, and let me know.
