Leagues Cup Soccer Tournament Schedule for iPhone, iPad, and Mac Calendar apps

Updated July 25th, 2023.

The 2023 Leagues Cup soccer tournament is here, and I’ve made an iCal-format 2023 Leagues Cup tournament schedule which you can add to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac with just a couple of clicks. Includes dates, times, teams, and TV stations. Updated with scores as games are completed (the scores are in the descriptions of each game– double-tap or double-click to see them). Updated with more games as they are announced.

I put the scores in the description, and not in the subject line, because some people are watching the games long after they’re played (thanks to Apple TV+), and they don’t want to know the scores in advance. So, we now have two versions of the calendar: the non-spoiler version, and spoiler version (with scores in the subject line).

Non-Spoiler version

If you’re using Apple’s Calendar app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, use the green button below.

The calendar also works with Google calendar. If you’re a Google Calendar user, use the blue button below. (Note: do it from your desktop computer, it’s easier that way.)

Spoiler version

If you want to see the scores in the summaries of the games– that is, if you want to see something like the picture on the right rather than the picture on the left– use the buttons with the red borders.

Non-spoiler and spoiler examples.
Non-spoiler version on the left (scores not shown, but available in the descriptions). Spoiler version (with scores) on the right.

If you’re using Apple’s Calendar app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, use the green button with the red border below.

Google Calendar version (do it from a browser on your desktop, it’s easier)– use the blue button with the red border:

Whether you choose the spoiler version or the non-spoiler version, the listings for the games have little soccer ball icons in front, as shown below, so you can quickly pick out the soccer games from amongst your other appointments. If you tap a game you’ll see details, including where the game is being played, and a link to the tournament standings. (After the game, if you picked the non-spoiler version, that’s where you will find the score of the game.)

Here’s how it looks on a Mac, macOS 13.4 (Ventura):

Pretty handy to have the games integrated with your regular Calendar app (in their own calendar/category of course). You don’t have to do anything to get updates– they’ll come in automatically.

More Info

When you’re asked whether you want to subscribe to the calendar, the answer is YES, you want to subscribe. That way you get updates when I change something, which I will, since the entire knockout round is unknown at this time. Also, if you subscribe, you will get updates next year, and the next year, and so on, assuming the tournament continues. Subscribing is free, and you don’t have to give me your email address or anything like that. And of course you can unsubscribe if you want. It would be cool if you shared this blog post on your various social media platforms. That would help me out.

Game times should be correct for your current time zone, unless you’ve done something special in your Date and Time preferences. The times listed are kickoff times, not pre-game show times.

Subscribe to the calendar now and just wait for me to update things as more info becomes available. Your calendar app will always show the latest info. Enjoy.

Note: I made this calendar because I couldn’t find one online. Yes, I could find a web page with the Leagues Cup schedule, but no, I couldn’t find a Leagues Cup calendar that I could view in my iPhone’s Calendar app. It’s way better to see the games listed right there with your other Calendar appointments than to be flipping back and forth between the Calendar app and a listing on a web page. I couldn’t find what I wanted elsewhere– so I made it myself.

Note 2: if you find a mistake in the calendar let me know. All you have to do is send me an email and I’ll make the correction to the calendar.
